INFORMATION
U7/8 -5 aside plus 3 subs on roll on roll off (non-competitive)
U9 upwards - 5 a side plus 3 subs on roll on roll off (competitive)
All team registration forms to be handed in at the registration tent before 9.15am PROMPT, or submitted online.
Players can only play for ONE team on the day of the competition.
Match.
Games are 8 minutes each straight through.
All free kicks are direct and the opposition must retreat 5 yards.
Opposing players to be minimum of 5 yards distance from the ball at dead ball situations.
A goal cannot be scored direct from kick off.
Goalkeepers must stay in their area. A free kick will be awarded to the other team if they leave the area. Any accidental leaving of the area is at the referee’s discretion.
The retreat rule applies to all age groups i.e. goal kick opposing team must retreat to halfway line.
Goalkeepers cannot kick from their hands.
Goal kicks must be taken with an under-arm roll.
Goalkeepers can kick the ball from a normal play.
The back pass rule will apply. If a back pass is handled by the goalkeeper, a free kick will be given to the opposition on the edge of the box.
Throw in and corners as per normal rules.
Outfield players can enter the goal area.
No offside.
Play.
First named team will choose ends and the second named team will wear bibs if the colours are similar or the same.
Any players sent off will take no further part in the tournament.
Points awarded: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
In the event of a tie for the top 2 league places, it will be decided on goal difference. If it is still a tie, it will continue to goals scored, conceded and head-to-head. If still tied a penalty shootout will take place until an outcome is reached.
All managers to sign referees game cards to confirm results at the end of each of their games.
Any team who doesn’t turn up or fails to play any game will forfeit their points and the opposing team will be awarded a 1-0 win and 3 points.
The referee’s decision is final. If you have any genuine concerns, please bring it up with the tournament organisers.
Team managers are responsible for the behaviour of their team, the parents and supporters. Any team misbehaving off field could result in automatic disqualification. FA’s Respect Code of Conduct must be observed and adhered to at all times.
Any spectator’s behaviour deemed unacceptable will result in that team being asked to leave the tournament.
Balls:
U7s, U8s, U9s and U10s will use a size 3 match ball.
U11s, U12s, U13s and U14s will use a size 4 match ball.
Knockout Stage.
Top 4 teams from each league (U9-U14) will progress to the knockout stage.
Rules and timings apply as per qualifying stage.
Semi finals:
Team finishing 1st will play team finishing 3rd and team finishing 2nd will play team finishing 4th.
Final:
Winner of each semi final will progress to the final. There is no 3rd place match.
Smoking is only permitted in designated areas. Anyone smoking elsewhere will be asked to leave, failure to leave could result in their team being thrown out.
NO ALCOHOL is permitted anywhere during the tournament. Anyone found drinking will be asked to leave and their team will face disqualification.
